BROOKS, Minn. — A benefit will be held this weekend for a man who was shot in the head during a burglary at his northwest Minnesota farmstead. The shooting happened Sept. 20 just outside of Mentor, Minnesota. Shawn Qualley, 55, suffered a traumatic brain injury in the incident. Qualley has returned home from the hospital but undergoes intensive therapy each week. On Saturday, Nov. 7, a benefit will be held 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Pits at 27710 250th St. SE, in Brooks, Minnesota. "Loss of vision, the limited vision he has is really hard, the TBI still has him really confused at times," said Andrea Qualley, Shawn's daughter. The man arrested in the shooting, 79-year-old Leslie Manford of Bagley, has been charged with attempted murder. You can donate to the Qualley family through his Support Now page. ]]>
